Patagonia, Chile and Argentina

What a dream!

This is a trip I have been dreaming of for many years and in fact, looking back, it still feels like a dream – I cannot believe it actually happened. We spent two weeks in Patagonia in late February 2025.

New Zealand

New Zealand was the first country I visited outside of the United States and the one that gave me the travel bug. I hadn’t been back since that first visit, 14 years ago.

Switzerland

When we first planned this sabbatical, Switzerland was one of the countries we were most excited to visit.

Kauai, USA

This little island is packed with dramatic scenery. We explored it for three days.

Oahu, USA

visiting the Big Island for a couple days we hopped over to Oahu where our friends are (we are extremely lucky to have friends who live here).

Big Island of Hawaii, USA

In August we visited three islands in Hawaii: the Big Island, Oahu, and Kauai. Here’s a summary from the Big Island.

Namibia – Part 1

Namibia is a remarkably diverse country with landscapes that are hard to come by. Here’s how to visit it (Part 1).

Qatar

Here’s what 21 hours looks like in Doha, Qatar.
