We are back from our trip abroad and I have a lot of writing to do! In total, we visited 30 countries. I thought I would hit this topic of price first since the numbers are all in. How much did a year of no work and all play cost? I’ll break it down here.

Switzerland
When we first planned this sabbatical, Switzerland was one of the countries we were most excited to visit.

As soon as we left Spain we went straight to the Alps. It was mid-September so we didn’t have a moment to waste as cold weather was fast approaching.

We designed this trip with a car in mind. What we didn’t know is that we would get so lucky with this one.
Packing for a year
Putting your whole life into a few suitcases is odd. Especially when you try to plan for almost all seasons. Then on top of that, climbing requires a whole bag full of metal… Well, we made it all fit, but it’s definitely not light.
Big News!
In the last post I alluded to segmenting my life into blocks of time that signify big events. Time for another one: my husband and I are going on a sabbatical!
